“Hard Brexit was xenophobic, economically illiterate and narrow-minded.

An apology from the Brexit lobby is too much to hope for. Silence might be a relief.

An appalling mistake was made. It awaits correction.”

Yes. Such damage and waste. For nothing.

From the day Britain left the EU, this reset was inevitable. What a pointless waste of time, money and effort | Simon Jenkins
Keir Starmer is not blameless when it comes to Brexit, but he is moving in the right direction. Even the Tories attacking him know that, says Guardian columnist Simon Jenkins

HELL YEAH: During my interview with Congressman Eugene Vindman, he BLASTED Trump for supporting Putin over Ukraine:

“Dangerous. Dishonorable. Disgusting.”

He then attacked Trump’s lies:

“Anybody that tells you Ukraine is responsible for starting this war, whether it’s Putin or Trump, is LYING.”

Good news, Elon Musk has tens of billions in loans secured against Tesla.

If Tesla goes bankrupt he will go completely bankrupt as all his current possessions will be needed to pay his debts.

Time for Tesla to tank.

A 2% wealth tax in the UK on people with over £100m (like France) would raise £30bn a year.

It's time to tax the rich.

Whenever I hear Roberta Flack's song "First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" I just sob. It was a song I used to listen to when my son was first born and was colicky. I would hold him and dance slowly and it seemed to soothe him. My son is now 33 years old. Rest in peace Roberta Flack.

OK, some lawyer, represent me.

—Acct is frozen on Xitter.
—As an aviator and as a writer on aviation issues, I am specifically harmed by having NTSB etc notices come only via one proprietary source.
—This is like saying that flood warnings, school closings, traffic alerts only via crony media
Someone with standing should file a lawsuit, too, stat. I don’t know if that’s Bluesky or someone who’s been banned from Twitter, but it needs to be challenged. Make the Supreme Court say Republican presidents can privatize government communications.
The NTSB says it will no longer email news outlets or reporters with notifications of upcoming press conferences, including those on plane crashes in Washington and Philadelphia.

Instead, all notifications will be made on X.

We're filing a FOIA to find out more about the change in policy.

First report in the Korean media I’ve seen that recognizes that Trump’s deportation plans will wreck havoc on Korean-American communities and Korea adoptees. Many unaware that there are tens of thousands of illegal Korean immigrants in the US.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

There are going to be a lot of crimes carried out in full public view, done in the confidence that they won't be prosecuted. Remember them and prosecute thoroughly as soon as we can.

Then maybe the next time around, people won't be so confident in their immunity.
