Coverage of idiots claiming ‘betrayal’ or ‘surrender’ isn’t just bad journalism, it’s a dereliction of our duty to explain things. I’d actually forgotten just how bad it got but here we are, straight back to treating liars & spivs like authorities of equal weight to experts & honest brokers.

Spent an hour at the store, normally takes about 20 minutes, just price shopping. Still cost 2x more for the stuff to make the same meal I made last month for half the price.

Rupert Lowe is suing me for reporting the accusations his party made against him.

That is the SECOND multimillionaire Reform MP to threaten to bankrupt me over a tweet.

These are the people standing up for free speech and the "little guy". 🤨

Groceries are more expensive, air travel is less safe, infectious diseases are raging and inflation is higher than it’s been in months, but at least Trump was able to strong-arm a sovereign nation into releasing a couple of psychopathic sex traffickers.

At least there’s that.

You explain well the complications of the world @mrjamesob.bsky.social but easy slogans and what seems easy answers drives populism for Reform. Foreign aid can this be explained and justified now? Given Trump has cut it?
February 23, 2025 at 5:08 AM
The left have to realise that populism is here to stay, for the moment. People want easy answers to complicated questions and Reform / Trump offer that.

There's a rumour that Nigel Farage is keeping his head down because he's off to a Trump cheerleading conference over the weekend.

I’m afraid I’m being proved right- Farage is far more interested in Trump's success than British security. He is a bootlicker and a plastic patriot.

So Nigel Farage has chosen to explain away Trump’s outrageous remarks about President Zelensky instead of doing the right thing and condemning them. Deeply disappointing but not at all surprising.

He sounds like a spokesman for Trump. He certainly doesn’t speak for Britain.
