He’s so good at this.
I want politics to be about a better everyday life.

Here's what that can look like:

Our earliest experiences impact how we come to feel about closeness, intimacy, vulnerability, and dependency on others in complex ways. Here's what that means for our adult relationships.
How Childhood Experiences Impact Our Choice of Partner
The way we love is shaped by our past. Childhood experiences influence who we choose as partners—often in ways we don’t realize. Therapy can help us understand why.

*Of course* advance information on US combat operations is classified. Pretending otherwise is an insult to our troops, who all know this.

This is so chilling. The feels like clip that plays at the start of a movie — calm, forgettable, and terrifying in retrospect — because it was the moment everything quietly began to unravel.

And let’s be clear on what this means for indiana:

We are 2% of the U.S. population

2% of $12 billion is $240 million

Which is 2.5x the proposed budget for public health funding by the state

This will make public health in Indiana (and everywhere) abysmal
Abrupt cancellations of grants like this is never how the government has functioned

This means people lose their jobs with no warnings

These people, while unserious, make decisions that have serious consequences for normal humans and frankly they don't give a shit about you
This is a disaster and will have major consequences for public health staffing and services in Indiana

I don't know what to say at this point they are dismantling pretty much all public health infrastructure

Not getting much attention, but the Senate GOP is about to start voting - to make sure banks can charge higher overdraft fees. Seriously.

Good time to let your Senators know what you think of that.

If Trump can disappear green card holders for protesting war, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear visa holders for criticizing him, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear asylum seekers for tattoos, he can disappear you.

We must speak out now — before there is no one left to speak out.

If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.
