I remain unclear on what, exactly, Ottawa needs to do to "respect" Alberta in the eyes of those who say this. I also remain aware that we're facing an existential threat from outside that means this sort of talk is incredibly poisonous.

I don't know what Carney said to him on that phone call, but it must have been a doozie. Governor & 51state has not been uttered since. Today we learn we're not on "the list." No time to get comfortable, we're still in elbows up mode. Plus, that yam has the attention span of a squirrel.
