The Great Palace theme is fantastic as well, although the closing theme gets me a bit emotional because hearing it was the culmination of many years of trying and failing to beat the game. It was a welcome melody after hearing Ganon’s taunting laughter for so many years! ❤️ 7/7

I’ll forever be grateful for Tomb Raider, because it was the only gaming series my mom truly enjoyed. I couldn’t get her interested in Zelda, Mario, or Final Fantasy. Her first career was in archaeology (and she’s coincidentally British), so she was immediately intrigued by the game. 4/?

Players guide Lara through tombs and other locations across Peru, Greece, Egypt, and Atlantis, searching for treasures and artifacts (artefacts), most notably the Scion of Atlantis, while solving puzzles and battling animals and monsters. 2/?

Puzzles are solved through wall-running, jumping across pits, & evading traps. The time-reversing dagger lets players undo mistakes, which was a groundbreaking feature for its time.

I adore this game. Its story, romance, and adventurous gameplay all came together into an incredible experience.
