I think tariffs hurt consumers, police shouldn't wear masks, and the President must obey the law - and shouldn't use his office to run personal profit-making schemes on the side.

This apparently makes me a radical Marxist.

Loved the new Superman movie. So many great choices. Good flick and a good time.

Also, Krypto was adorable.

I’ve gotten back to reading trashy novels for a bit after a long hiatus.

Wow. Some have been good, but so many feature really horrible relationships. Reminds me why I stopped reading them in the first place.

I’m not interested in reading about bad people.

I’ve taken a step back from my news consumption in the past few months.

I’ve dove deep into escapism for a bit - trashy novels, music, lighter podcasts and shows.

When I’m ready to re-engage, I’ll have to find balance. I think I’ll need to look at volunteer work to have any meaningful impact.

Never forget how Adèle Haenel not only called out the Cesar awards for giving an award to Roman Polanski ("Bravo, la pédophilie! Bravo!"), but she also retired from being an actress, because why work in an industry that rewards and celebrates men who treat women like shit and suffer no consequences?

No your app can’t replace them. Your app depends on their service too.”

There's a political economy case to be made that this was the whole ball game for the legitimacy of US institutions among lower-income & -education cohorts. Even though very few workers make the federal minimum wage, a *majority* make less than the inflation adjusted level from the 1960s
A reminder that if the minimum wage had kept pace with worker productivity gains since the 1960s, it would now be nearly $26 an hour.
