For anyone who needs cheering up: Every spring in Lombardy, northern Italy, the herds are moved from the plains to the high mountain pastures. This transhumance is proving to be too tiring for newborn lambs who are then carried on donkey's back, in specifically adapted saddle pockets

Great week in SF at #JPM2025 with @ceclindgren.bsky.social chatting partnerships and impact in women’s health. Aneira Health was of course the toast of the town! More broadly, amazing energy in this space - big increase since last year even! 🚀

Love this heartwarmingly British story. Just waiting for someone to sell the film rights. Olivia Coleman as the plucky bartender missing her daughter's 18th birthday, Mark Rylance as the grumpy uncle who learns to open up and dance with the kid... can't wait.

is it just me or do other 80s kids still have a mental model of the world which is basically structured along the lines of "choose your own adventure"?

running a startup - you could (a) go to JPM in SF, turn to page 72, (b) spend the week with the team developing features, turn to page 87... etc.

It is clearly unacceptable that women are left undiagnosed and in pain for years. At Aneira Health we're both offering services directly & looking to partner with the NHS to bring science, technology and compassion to bear in a joined-up way for women.

As always excellent insight from @taradonnelly.bsky.social and our good friends at Doccla. Here’s to more hospitals without walls
We’ve been giving thought as to how technology can best be harnessed to support the three shifts.

We know that there’s a community thinking about this & are keen to start a conversation about how to make the most of the opportunity & hear your views on what we’re suggesting -

Important essay by Dario Amodei (of OpenAI and Anthropic fame) with the superb title "Machines of Loving Grace". Not a short read, but a good one. Pour some coffee. Poses the question:

"What could the world look like if everything goes RIGHT with AI?"
