Weird post incoming, and I've been having trouble putting this feeling / sensation into words, but has anyone else been feeling literal gaps in their sense of time lately?
For some reason, the calendar seems to be moving very, very quickly for me lately and I'm mentally struggling with that fact.

For no reason at all I'm thinking about the time Snoop showed up to his set at riot fest at least a half hour late and then got annoyed that the organizers were going to cut his mic at the end of his scheduled time lol

I still won't get over Duskmourn's narrative, where the central horror of one of it's stories is bourgeois metaphysics (represented by a forever expanding icon of modern Capital: The House) replacing the dialectical cycle of the natural world as the house supersedes an ancient forest. LinkedIn has GOT to be the most hellish of all the hell-sites. Sending me repeated emails about the "important update" from my company that's our layoffs notice from a few weeks ago now is ridiculous.

I'm glad The Game Awards finally acknowledged the industrywide layoffs problem, but the messaging hits weirdly when it's wrapped up in an award, and doesn't mention the actual name of the resource for those laid off.
May just be my hangover from PCF's layoff yesterday but man, ya just can't win lol

A lot of my PCF colleagues are being laid off today.
I'm luckily safe (I think) but over 100 are out of a job. If you're hiring in the games industry, drop a link. We lost programmers, artists, producers, etc.
I don't have a lot of traction on this site, so boosting would be helpful.

It feels like the vibes are reminiscent of the week the Ever Given was stuck in the Suez Canal. We can all find unity when the systems that the rest of the time are so untouchably far outside of human scale get fucked with.

Went to my first #fabtcg armory tonight. 0-2-1 but if we hadn't run out of time I might have gotten the win! Played Dash straight out of the precon box, and even got to play Max Velocity twice in that last game that ended in a draw.
Looking forward to it again in two weeks!

I've been really feeling let down by magic these last few months but I haven't lost the itch for TCGs... The result is that I picked up my first FAB armory deck and the two player star wars unlimited starter kit.

This week, a studio that reached out to recruit earlier this year, did layoffs. Back then, they planned to release a game to an expected low ratings, then improve on it with a sequel, while also supporting transmedia. They wanted open recruiting w a personality test. Sometimes you have to wonder.
