The SC can go fuck themselves. I was a birthright citizen, born in SF before my parents had gained their citizenship—just like many in this country before and after me.

1/ Remember (& you’ll hear this caveat from all the legal commentators) today’s SCOTUS decision in the birthright citizenship case is not about whether Trump can do away with birthright citizenship in an EO. It’s about whether a single district judge can issue a nationwide injunction pausing the EO.

God Only Knows is in my top five fave songs—I always tear up when I hear it. I’m glad I got to see Brian Wilson years ago at the Hollywood Bowl. The world has lost a giant. RIP Brian Wilson.

It's because of this Chinese man that we have birthright citizenship for ALL.
This Man Won Birthright Citizenship for All (Gift Article)
When officials denied that he was a citizen, Wong Kim Ark took his case to the Supreme Court and won. Today, that decision is the focus of debate over who can be an American.

I have Wong Kim Ark to thank for my birthright citizenship. I was born when my parents were still a long way from getting their citizenship. Fuck the felon.
Great-grandson of man who established birthright citizenship slams Trump executive order
“He’s feeding off the American mindset, and it’s not a healthy one,” said the great-grandson of Wong Kim Ark, whose 1898 Supreme Court case helped guarantee birthright citizenship.

Years ago, when I was working for CineVegas, I had to escort David Lynch up to a room we had for VIPs. In the elevator, he noticed my Cannes Film Festival bag that had all the winners of the Palme d'Or on it. He said "I have that bag too." I replied, "David, you're on this bag." RIP to a legend.

I am a former incarcerated firefighter. I served in a California fire camp from 2009 to 2012.

Misinformation is afire on the internet, so here are facts about the prison firefighter program, all in one place.
