If you're concerned about the erosion of anti racist norms and the rise of the far right, you have to factor in two solid years of bipartisan British complicity in this genocide. What do you think our government's role in this racist bloodbath tells us about the state of our political culture?
Analysts told me that they agree with @amnesty.org in that Israel's genocide in Gaza is not over.

The mass killing has slowed but the conditions for life & society have been destroyed and are not being allowed to be rebuilt.

First year selling my art at Christmas without the Other site, where most of my sales came from, as well as losing US orders to new tariffs, so it'll be a tough one - I put huge work into every order, so even if you can't buy, shares help get them in front of eyes. GRMA! www.ciaraioch.com/artprints

The EBU dropped plans for a vote on excluding Israel because of the ceasefire

This is the point of the pretend ceasefire. Not to stop the genocide but to allow countries & organisations to more easily resist calls to put pressure on Israel & to reverse actions already taken

The bottom 90% lost a collective $79 trillion in wages over the past 50 years.

Why? Because the top 1% ate up an increasingly larger share of the national income — so that $79 trillion flowed to them instead of the working class.

The greatest trick of all is trickle-down economics.

Wes Streeting orders review of mental health diagnoses as benefit claims soar
Health secretary has asked experts to investigate whether normal feelings have become ‘over-pathologised’ The health secretary, Wes Streeting, has ordered a clinical review of the diagnosis of mental health conditions, according to reports. Streeting is understood to be concerned about a sharp rise in the number of people making sickness benefits claims because of diagnoses for mental illness, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), the Times reported. He has asked leading experts to investigate whether normal feelings have become “over-pathologised”, the newspaper said, as he seeks to grapple with the 4.4 million working-age people now claiming sickness or incapacity benefit. The figure has risen by 1.2 million since 2019, while the number of 16 to 34-year-olds off work with long-term sickness because of a mental health condition is said to have grown rapidly in the same period. Streeting told the Times he knew from “personal experience how devastating it can be for people who face poor mental health, have ADHD or autism and can’t get a diagnosis or the right support”. He added: “I also know, from speaking to clinicians, how the diagnosis of these conditions is sharply rising. “We must look at this through a strictly clinical lens to get an evidence-based understanding of what we know, what we don’t know, and what these patterns tell us about our mental health system, autism and ADHD services. “That’s the only way we can ensure everyone gets timely access to accurate diagnosis and effective support.” The review, which is expected to be launched on Thursday, is set to be led by Prof Peter Fonagy, a clinical psychologist at University College London specialising in child mental health, with Sir Simon Wessely, a former president of the Royal College of Psychiatry, acting as vice-chair. 👋 Hi Labour. We have an idea...

Rather than taking money off disabled people - some of the poorest people in society - you could tax the super-rich properly and raise billions to help fix our crumbling public services 👍

This is literally page 5 of Project 2025. I come back to it a lot. It refers to trans "ideology" as pornographic and says people who produce/distribute it should be imprisoned and that teachers and librarians should have to register as sex offenders. Straight out of Libs of TikTok's playbook

by the same token, remember that they think every LGBTQ person is grooming kids when you hear right wingers push the death penalty for pedophiles thing.
I've seen people dismiss the Pornhub bans, sometimes couching their dismissal in an anti-porn stance. What I don't think they realize is that the people pushing this stuff conflate porn with LGBTQ people and sex education and are part of Project 2025
