California, this November 4th, the whole country is counting on you.

Prop 50 puts our elections back on a level playing field, preserves independent redistricting over the long term, and lets the people decide.

So return your ballot today. Vote yes on 50.

The 400 richest Americans are now worth a record $6.6 trillion, after getting $1.2 trillion richer over the past year alone.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is getting squeezed by tariffs and high prices for groceries, utilities, and health care.

The system is broken.

This is very bad news. Louisiana won't even defend its own map in SCOTUS. It abandoned its own Black voters.

Those of us committed to defending the VRA are now entirely on our own. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

You wouldn’t vacation in Dachau in 1935. Don’t vacation in Florida in 2025.
We’re calling for a Florida boycott over the inhumane “Alligator Alcatraz” detention site. Cancel your family vacation and choose a different destination this summer.

When I tell you Los Angeles is an occupied city/county, this is what I mean…

Yesterday, ICE agents showed up to a regular Saturday swap meet with armed Marines and a military helicopter overhead, like it’s a fucking war zone.

Jonathan Joss, best known for voicing John Redcorn on "King of the Hill" was MURDERED today as a result of a homophobic hate crime in San Antonio. He and his husband tried to tell law enforcement for YEARS about the hate. They also killed their dog and burned their home down.

Today I am resigning from the National Science Board and the Library of Congress Scholars Council.

I’m glad Harvard is showing some spine and fighting back.

At the same time I can’t help but think about how the attacks came first for Black academic leaders like Claudine Gay, and Black/African students who were criminalized for protest.

We are always the canaries in the coal mine. ALWAYS.

Listen. I believe ardently in criticizing our leaders for their failures and inaction but if you refuse to acknowledge their efforts when they do make them and if you refuse to recognize a step in the right direction, you don’t really want change. You just want to complain.
Right. The most salient point is that he could have done this over the CR, but now he's just using the energy of the filibuster without its power.

It’s devastating to watch the genocide and decimation of Gaza with every Al Jazeera headline. This last election will require historians, decades from now, to capture how consequential and deadly it and the impact of informed apathy truly was. As a 92 %er, Im not delighted to watch it all burn. 💔
