@reichlinmelnick.bsky.social The State Department's guidance on passports suggests that certain children will be citizens at birth if the mother has a certain status, but not if the father has that same status. How can that be squared with Morales-Santana?

Not quite on point here, but there are a couple of cases from the N.D. Ind. which has clerk's offices in multiple time zones, but all electronic filings are stamped in Eastern Time, where a filing was submitted before midnight CT, but after midnight ET.
