Can confirm “State of Maine” hasn’t apologized. (As the official keeper of all state records and guardian of the seal ;))
For the record, Maine hasn't apologized.

powerful detailed account of ICE captivity

"To put things into perspective: I had a Canadian passport, lawyers, resources, media attention, friends, family and even politicians advocating for me...Imagine what this system is like for every other person in there"

I’m the Canadian who was detained by Ice for two weeks. It felt like I had been kidnapped
I was stuck in a freezing cell without explanation despite eventually having lawyers and media attention. Yet, compared with others, I was lucky

Take a moment and read Sen. Collin's statement on cuts to biomedical research funding. She does her typical do nothing trick of stating concern and her only action step is to call RFK Jr. She is the Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

Don’t let up.

“I have come to believe that caring for myself is not self-indulgent. Caring for myself is an act of survival.” Audre Lorde.

Rest is critical to our survival, to having the strength to fight what needs fighting and care for those who need our support.

Made today’s calls against the fall of democracy. Shook things up and added calls to the Pres of the Univ of ME and the Maine State DOE encouraging them to make some noise about the threat to our Federal DOE. At the individual, town, state, and federal level, we have voices and power. Make noise!!

Given Trump’s incredibly fragile ego, shouldn’t we be pushing the msg that Elon is making him look weak, look like a fool, that he’s playing him? Let’s speed up the narcissistic bros implosion.

People are getting up off the mat.
People have gathered outside USAID HQ for press event with Democratic Congressmen Beyer, Raskin, Connolly and Olzewski and Senator Van Hollen where they're addressing the building's mysterious shutdown today in the midst of the Trump admin dismantling the agency.

16 Democratic senators recently voted to confirm the Trump-appointed Treasury Secretary who just gave Musk’s team access to a Treasury payment system that disburses trillions and holds mass quantities of personal information. Food for thought. www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

No one's blaming Democrats for causing this crisis, but yes, many of them are failing to meet this moment.

One Democratic senator could bring the chamber to a halt. House Dems can go to fed agencies being gutted by Musk with cameras in tow. Governors can push back. State AGs can bring lawsuits.
