People granted the right to reside in the UK could be expelled under Tory bill rightly described by Ian Dunt in the i as "depraved ". Beyond even Trump.

The Tories' cynical exploitation of the China spy trial shows either ignorance of the law or a cynical and desperate decision to lie about it to score party political points. Either way the rule of law is obviously no longer a Tory value.

Did you watch The Hack? I can't believe papers have gotten away with destroying lives for so long. That's why I've signed the petition, set up by Hugh Grant and other phone hacking victims, to demand fair, independent regulation. Join me: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/a-...
A Free Press, Not a Free Pass – It's Time for Fair Regulation
For too long, the UK press have bullied people, harassed grieving families, and destroyed lives, all to sell papers. We’ve all seen the heartbreaking consequences. They’ve hacked phones, listened to ...

Just listened to John Denham on our local Meridian TV news. He is right. The Union Jack is a potent symbol of British multiculturalism. Thank flag raisers for celebrating our tolerance and diversity. Whatever was in your mind at the time.

Trump's only tactic is to spread chaos and distraction to win headlines and photo opps. And the media play along for free copy. Netanyahu and Putin the only winners. Now it's troops on American streets. Democracy just his plaything. Contemptible spectacle. A vindictive menace to the world.

Trump spreads more chaos turning Great Power diplomacy into a tedious photo opp. As deaths in the benighted Ukraine and Gaza pile up. He's a monster.

Johnson was the clown holding tories back to far right nationalism but short of all in fascism.
Farage is the fascist.
This is a very old trope - that the likes of Farage aren't fascist; they are trying to head off fascism - and it goes back to my days on the Brexity Right, going way back into the early 1990s.

It has run out of road. In short: it's bollocks, as shown day in day out.

Shame on any democrat who dismisses others' opinions as utterly irrelevant, not worth a thought. Engage, don't dismiss.
If you utter the words "give starmer a chance" you are privileged and safe enough that you feel very confident that *you* arent going to be affected bt the things hes doing

Which renders your opinions utterly irrelevant

Shame on you who clearly thinks the rest of society arent worth even a thought

Oo!
The tories are having a reshuffle. Not so much rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic as swapping life jackets in the Titan submarine.

True. Also, telling 16-17 year olds how they'll vote is ageist arrogance. And irrelevant. If it's the right thing to do, then do it. And it is. As a non-gullible 76-year-old Brexit-hater, I'd trust them more than the gullible Express & Mail bigots among my own peers.
Some knob on sky news said letting 16 and 17 year olds vote is gerrymandering because they will probably vote for Labour lib dems or greens , well maybe if the tories / reform didn't just aim their so called polices at the gullible over 70s then they may pick up some of the younger vote .

Another stat for Diane Abbott to try and get her head round. The number of General Elections won by each of the last five Labour keaders: 4, 0, 0, 0, 1. Pursuing glorious martyrdom is much easier.

The only surprise is that Labour's unprecented in living memory 400+ MPs took so long to flex their collective muscle. If Starmer chooses not to have a highly disciplined Campbell-style press management setup, he's got to find a counter to the charge of weak leadership when they flex.
