Bond markets not happy about Reeves bottling it on tax, it seems.
And there we go 10y opened up 11 basis points erasing 1/3 of the rally since October.
39 minutes until the bond markets make reeves reconsider I reckon.

They’re just not very good at this.

More tinkering around the edges will only mean trouble next year when the economy and global money pressures worsen.

After this debacle the country won’t be so forgiving when the inevitable happens.

UK economy grew by just 0.1% in 3rd quarter in 2025.

People lack spending power - low wages, pensions and benefits; high energy, water, Internet, rents, grocery and other costs; regressive taxes.

Need equitable distribution of income and wealth.

The chancellor responds to the data by saying there is more to do in her coming budget to "build an economy that works for working people".

Taxing the rich actually works.

The only people saying otherwise are opaque dark money think tanks funded by *checks notes* the rich
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

X categorised itself as “News” so that it wasn’t obvious how it was performing on app charts versus other social media apps.

News is a less competitive category so Elon gets to “win” even as he hides X’s weak performance.

(Also I notice Truss went to the effort to find the silly “X” of the logo)

Labour so far have been disappointing.

A govt that’s failed to deliver the enormous change the UK required.

Just like the Tories but with less corrup… Oh 🤦🏼‍♂️

Maybe we need to change our name back to @dailycorruption.bsky.social 🥲

To knit together two stories: through intimidation, litigation & extortion, Trump is clearly trying to create a media ecosystem where nobody asks him about Epstein - or indeed anything discomfiting. It is appalling to see so many UK media individuals & institutions aiding & abetting his corruption.

Farage shilling for his donors once again.
You may have missed this gem yesterday. From which we learn that:

2. Most drug-takers are not a problem.
3. Kids put tuppence in slot machines in the hope of getting rich.
4. Farage probably has a gambling industry donor.
