Last night, Eileen Higgins defeated her MAGA opponent to become Miami’s next mayor — the first Democratic-aligned candidate to win this seat in nearly 30 years.

This is a massive flip: In 2021, the Republican incumbent won re-election by more than 60 points. Last night, Higgins won by 19 points.

It is absolutely wild that the guy who won’t stop yelling about law and order is now personally stepping in to keep January 6 documents hidden from the police officers who were attacked that day. He knows exactly what’s in those files and he is terrified the country will see it.

Rand Paul is correct. Words I don’t say lightly. But here we are; glad there are still some people on that side with a smidge of a conscience.
Rand Paul: "This is an insane policy. It's inconsistent. It's not war. It's not the way we've ever done this. If we can blow up a boat in the ocean, what about when they get to Miami & put it in a truck? Can you shoot a grenade launcher at the truck? No! We arrest people b/c sometimes we're wrong."

We have no explanation on SCOTUS decisions affecting our lives.

The emergency docket, aka “shadow docket,” is the quiet backdoor of the Supreme Court. Decisions drop fast, with little explanation, and Trump is hammering it harder than anyone in modern history.
