I’ll be leaving Ann Arbor behind for a few months tomorrow for a summer sabbatical @cshlnews.bsky.social getting to learn some cryoEM with the Joshua-Tor lab! Super excited for this opportunity - grateful to Prof. Joshua-Tor for hosting and UMich CBITP for the support!

In silico discovery of compounds targeting NPSL2: a regulatory element in the human oncomiR-1 primary microRNA.
NPSL2 is a stem loop element within the oncomiR-1 polycistronic primary microRNA (miRNA) cluster. NPSL2 is predicted to mediate conformational rearrangements within oncomiR-1 to regulate the biogenesi...

Abolish bank regulators. “Delete” the CFPB & IRS. Gut Social Security and Medicare.

The Trump administration’s plots all boil down to the same thing: swindle working people, funnel money to the ultra-rich.

It's annoying how clearly this is going to play out.

They gut the FAA.
Therefore, the FAA can't do its job well because it was gutted.
Therefore, they say "The FAA sucks, we have to privatize it." which is what Project 2025 wants to do. They're manufacturing the crises for their end goal.

Truly living in the darkest timeline
Just got word that our Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) Inclusive Excellence 3 (IE3) Grant was being canceled. All 100+ institutions. So even private funding is susceptible to this administration’s unraveling of DEI initiatives

Picked this up recently and got to discuss with author Dr. Eric Cech, an engineer turned sociologist here at UMich! Really interesting and I highly recommend a read!
