What’s the current consensus on WHITE CROSSES by Against Me!? When it came out I recall it being received as a too poppy and polished major label sophomore effort but the A side songs are the best constructed pop music they ever made. And the politics of this album are… weird.

Comparing queer and gender non-conforming people to left handedness is still operating in a “born this way” binary. If we truly believe that gender, sexuality, etc… is a spectrum than it makes sense that almost no one is entirely one or the other.

So Megyn Kelly would not like her 5 or 8-year-old daughter sex trafficked and sold for sex to 30-60+ year old men, but her 15 year old, that would “be different, just barely illegal.”
