Great day for everyone whose 2024 brand move was claiming that Dems were exaggerating how bad Trump would be.

A Nazi owns Twitter, right wing billionaires own the Wall Street Journal and the LA Times, and CBS is run by a right wing nepo baby who just fired one of the network’s biggest stars for criticizing Donald Trump. Here’s why America has a left-wing media bias problem.

Rather kill themselves than elect a woman of color. A lot of people have let themselves and their families down. Sad.

Say what you will about Trump threatening to strip citizenship from his critics and have immigrants put into concentration camps in a swamp, but he never did anything truly power-mad like forgive student loans.

Today will possibly set the all time record high for this date in Austin by 10 degrees

Do you know how hard it is to set a high temp record by 10 degrees?

It's almost impossible

Or so we thought

The fake Boston Globe front page of what a Trump presidency would look like from 2016 seems awfully fuckin' quaint now. All of it is happening, the only real difference is, in this fantasyland, the military refuses to do some of it.

It is essential for the rule of law that everyone involved in this end up in prison. Nothing else is a sufficient deterrent against the intentional, repeated abuse of government power to systematically deny fundamental rights.

I'd like to thank the GOP and this unitary executive horseshit for creating a situation where one guy has the power to tank the global economy because some black dude once made fun of him in public.

Democrats should hold 435 town halls this weekend. The ones in Republican districts hosted by local Dems or nonpartisan local officials or even ex-Republicans, with everyone, Democrats and independents and Republicans, invited.
The chair of the House GOP's campaign arm told Republican lawmakers to stop holding in-person town halls amid a wave of angry backlash over the cuts undertaken by President Donald Trump's administration.
No more in-person town halls, NRCC chief tells House Republicans
Rep. Richard Hudson issued the edict after a spate of testy episodes.

18F, the federal government’s technology shop, was demolished by Musk’s team shortly after midnight. It was a cost-recoverable org, charging agencies for their expertise, using a consulting model. Its cost to government was negligible, its benefits huge. My team there once saved DoD $500 billion.

I just don’t think it’s appropriate for men to humiliate and degrade themselves in public in a way that debases the culture and teaches bad values to children.

That’s why the Texas A&M Board of Regents shouldn’t do this. Drag shows are fine of course.
Texas A&M University System bans student drag shows because they might offend someone. Utter disregard for basic First Amendment rights.

The Republican Party is the weaker party, at its core. When I had a GOP Congressperson he had exactly zero town halls in the city and district he represented. Would go talk at private events in the wealthier parts of town. But never the gerrymandered part he actually represented. Weakness.
“.. this [DOGE] narrative should end very soon,” the official said. “Probably the best way for that to happen is no more town halls.”
