It freaked out the larger birds for a while until they got used to it, my bluejay buddy, for one. He got over it but still couldn't overcome the weight limit I put on the perch... I feel a little bad for him but he was rampaging through the seed!

When your squirrel (& big bird) buster feeder really works. Next, I'll film the black bird who figured out if he hopped on the ring just lightly enough, the portal would open for him. I'd let them both in but I can't afford their appetites!

Buxton NC gets more and more exciting every year. Which buildings will fall? Which must be abandoned (like the house next door to this old beach cottage)? The surf has been thrilling this time: pounding away for 3 days now. It’s a terrible truth of climate change all the same.
