£43,200 = 12 hours
£1 million = 12 days
£1 billion = 31 years
£1 trillion = 31,688 years
Millions, billions and trillions all just sound like 'a lot' to most of us. We need a lot more of these comparisons when we talk about billionaires.
If you make $100,000 a year (not bad), it will take you 10 MILLION years to earn a trillion dollars.
If you make a million dollars a year (wow!), it'll still take you a million years to earn a trillion dollars.
Tax the rich.

*not mine to take credit for, but I think this campaign missed a trick in not using it.
Anyone prone to conspiracy theories would surely be gobbling up borlotti beans for brekkie if they thought they could infiltrate some secret nitrogen-fixing society?

Those companies pay billions to their shareholders
And then lay off their workers
Think that's unfair?
Tell Rachel Reeves to stop propping up oil and gas companies and back workers instead…

Just 10p a day!
You’ll save £300+ in a year!
But when something affects all of us, like total energy use and total climate pollution, should companies be forced to show both?
Presenting per-query 'efficiency' is part of big tech's efforts to hide its extremely real and happening-right-now climate impacts!

The thing they're most afraid of? - A new story where they're one of the bad guys, having to pay for the damage they cause.
Stories have power.
You can bet they'll try everything to keep this one quiet.
Our CEO writes about how a small proposed levy on luxury flights – to fund climate action – has the industry up in arms.

It’s just their marketing plan to greenwash themselves and distract us from their core business - more and more and more fossil fuels.

Reducing their own emissions is actually a small part. Leading by example, focusing education around climate and skills for clean industries, and pushing back against the big £influence of Big Oil.
Several audience members asked that I share my slides, so I've decided to post them here too as an open resource
I'd love any feedback, & for you to share examples of projects & best practice.

But why does Big Oil want to support renewables?
Because they’re committed to a transition?
Or because they use their minimal spending on renewables as greenwash to distract from their increasing fossil fuel extraction?
Spending figures suggest the 2nd.

We have fantastic solutions which will also make people better off.
