Sooo…we gave IOUs monopoly status and guaranteed ROE so they could attract the capital to invest in an our electrical infrastructure. And now rates are going up cause they didn’t do that. Maybe it’s time for a new model?

I’m a volunteer with the Sierra Club in Detroit. After 100 years of industrial expansion and contraction, you can’t look at any environmental issue here and not see racism and classism. We can’t solve one problem without solving the other.

Why is it we keep confusing wealth for intelligence?

Gotta disagree with you. The NYT piece is right about the lack of focus. The Sierra Club cares about too many issues to be effective on the most important ones. But the new focus on environmental justice is a shift in focus not a dissolution of focus.

Interesting point. We need to ask the authors about their unquoted sources, where they got the idea for the piece

To me, it read like a quickly written poorly edited hit piece…filler copy. and, it had a little “white fragility” to it…like if you’d only stuck with John Muir, you’d be ok.
