I’ll start the trifle celebration with this Paul Ainsworth glory:

www.deliciousmagazine.co.uk/recipes/paul...

Not sure I’d bother with the “hundreds and thousands” topping as this recipe has enough stages already, but…

Ok British folk; I love trifle.

Hhit me with your most amazing trifle recipes.

I’ll start…

Coasters or challenge coins (giant, if so!)? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Totally agree

Here’s a pig I met the other day and fell in love with their noises!

If anyone works for Stena Line #StenaLine

please check your SSL/Cloudfare settings for booking.stenaline.co.uk

I've been getting this warning message for the last half hour on two different computers, across three browsers, while trying to access my Stena - My account page.

A friend just sent this photo from County Mayo, Ireland (Achill island, to be precise)

Anyone got UK examples of cycle bays reserved for those with a disability?

I was proud to represent Disability Together at the Exeter Chiefs rugby match yesterday against the Newcastle Redbulls

26 charities this year will benefit from the donations made to the Exeter Chiefs Foundation

Exeter is similarly lame for my 2017 Kia Soul, with only 1 (of 9) charging points being central.

Although I’ve only learnt - following your post - how crap Bath’s air quality is. Wow: never knew that before, having lived there for a year as well!

Charity people: What book should trustees read to better understand the trustee role?

I like Debra Allcock Tyler book “It’s a Battle on the Board”, particularly re interpersonal relationships, emotional intelligence + meeting charity objectives @dsc-charity.bsky.social

Any other recommendations?

Today’s @privateeyenews.bsky.social had a section on Select Committees and said this about the Defence Committee and its work since the 2024 general election:

I get a military pension paid every month

The Department for Work and Pensions transfer the money.

But today’s payment is from the “Paymaster General’s Office”

Which is weird because it doesn’t exist. 🤷‍♂️

Today I’ve heard the Ministry of Defence are considering challenging my War Pension First Tier Tribunal win

A bold move as my case revolves around one key fact which the #FTT was clear on

The MOD’s only argument is that their procedures and policies have no legal relevance to decision making

Damn it. I had to go and look this up.

This 2019 article was eye opening: www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/news/...

6.9% of hotels responding had had coffee makers stolen. And 4.2% mattresses. Wtf!

Interesting cultural variance 👇

I know nothing about crotchet

And found this book beautiful, even mesmerising at times with its ideas and how I could use them in my love of patterns and mazes

Beautifully made. Instructions look great (but I have no idea if so!)
