The thing to understand is that district court judges have to follow the law and Supreme Court Justices get to just make up the law.

Got a new one today when the press secretary accused him of being a "human trafficker" just absolutely out of thin air!
Just so we’re clear, everybody calling Kilmar Abrego Garcia a “terrorist” or a “gang member” are lying, and they know they’re lying, and they repeat it for purposes of confusing people who don’t follow this stuff closely into accepting what was done to him.

Oh my god you want me to find "evidence" before putting someone in jail? Every time?? Do you have any idea how long that would take

If the U.S. government is going to take the position that, once removed from the United States, folks can’t be brought back, then it sure seems to me that federal courts should be reflexively and categorically barring *all* removals until they’re 100 percent certain that the removals are lawful.

Trump is on shaky ground when it comes to the way he has empowered perhaps the most important figure in the new administration.

I just want Democrats in Congress to be as petty, as spiteful, and as patriotic as the employees in the government they lead.

Here's how to cover things that are illegal:

(i) this is illegal
(ii) they say it's legal
(iii) It's not

While we’re on the topic of clemency — Biden ran as opposed to death penalty in 2020, and while Trump is sure to set up a new execution spree like he did last time, Biden has the power to commute the sentences of people on the federal death row.

Much of the science used to convict Russell Maze of killing his baby is considered questionable.

New evidence points so much toward innocence that the DA’s office called for his release.

He still might spend the rest of his life in prison.

He Was Convicted of Killing His Baby. The DA’s Office Says He’s Innocent, but That Might Not Be Enough.
When new scientific evidence casts doubt on convictions, the justice system has no easy path to freedom — even when it’s the prosecutors doing the asking.
