Democrats in office need to know: all of us with very few exceptions want all of you with very few exception to lose your god damn jobs because you refuse to do them.

Just utter abject failure. Unbelievable.
Dems backed Trump into a corner where he’s advocating for starving Americans and hemorrhaging support. If they vote to let him off the hook in exchange for nothing it’s a cataclysmic failure. I know people are in pain but insulating Republicans from political consequences is not the answer.

The retrospective on this administration will be quite jarring...

especially when they get to the part about how trump would rather starve children than lower their health insurance.

Donald Trump got a $400 million start....and still managed to fail in multiple businesses... and be a loser his entire life. Most people would have to work very hard to pull that off. He makes it look effortless.

"Victories remind elites Trump is not some sort of eternal expression of the American volk. The press will have to at least briefly acknowledge MAGA fascism is not inevitable. Institutions that have been acting as if Trump is a rightful king will be confronted with a sweeping rejection of him."
Virginia and New Jersey can show that Trump isn't inevitable
MAGA might be in for an ass-whuppin' on Tuesday.

Running gag goes meta as Johnson says he knows nothing about Trump knowing nothing
RAJU: Last week you were very critical of Biden's use of the autopen. But Trump admitted on 60 Minutes to not knowing he pardoned a crypto billionaire who pleaded guilty to money laundering. Does that also concern you?

MIKE JOHNSON: I don't know anything about that. I didn't see it. I'm not sure.

More than 1800 detainees are missing after the closure of Alligator Alcatraz. Their families and lawyers can’t find them and they’ve vanished from the ICE database. Feels like this should be a much bigger story www.miamiherald.com/news/local/i...
Hundreds of Alligator Alcatraz detainees drop off the grid after leaving site
As of the end of August, the whereabouts of two-thirds of more than 1,800 men detained at Alligator Alcatraz during the month of July could not be determined by the Miami Herald.

Okay so let’s say a few countries may have the Epstein files or the blackmail: France, UK, Russia & Israel. The last two likely hung it over Trump’s head plus bribes; now enter the Ukraine war; the UK invites Trump over, shows him what MI6 has, he changes position again.

A handful of billionaires now have unprecedented control over banking, the food we eat, our healthcare, and the information we receive. Many are now currying favor with Trump to avoid accountability and maintain their power. This is what oligarchy looks like.

It needs to be understood that every incremental step that RFK Jr. and ACIP take to create barriers against vaccination means that fewer and fewer people have access to lifesaving vaccines…until no one can access them at all.

This is their plan and their desire. Don’t kid yourself.

Bill Cassidy behaved today as he should have behaved during RFK Jr.’s confirmation.

The problem is that now he can’t unring the bell. His actions in confirming Kennedy and convincing others to do so has already caused irreparable damage to science and public health in the United States.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say.

This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand.

All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

Never bend the knee to a fascist, as no knee-bending is enough and they will always demand you keep bending lower.
Also, it's pretty incredible how far the @nytimes.com has bent over backwards over the last decade to take the view from nowhere in giving Trump credit he doesn't deserve, and he repays their capitulation with a $15 billion lawsuit because they endorsed Kamala in the end.
So this Trump lawsuit is wacko for many, many reasons, but THIS IS NOT WHAT ACTUAL MALICE MEANS in the legal context. At all.

Cost of Trump's D.C. Occupation: $1.1M per day.

Cost to operate public housing for D.C.'s entire homeless population: $169,226 per day.

It's not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Reminder: Tariffs aren't paid by other countries, no matter what Trump says.

A tariff is an import tax, raising the price of almost everything we buy.

Tariffs are also regressive — taking a higher percentage out of the paychecks of working people than out of the wealthy.
