Literally, everything beneficial for democracy defending Americans has happened because of We, the People, Marc Elias, and his team, as well as the resistance from the leaders of OTHER countries.

Our elected leaders have done nothing.

I felt my heart stir when Representative Green stood up and refused to sit down during the speech last night.

It's time Democrats remember the concept of "good trouble" and stop obeying in advance.

Make them reveal themselves for the monsters they are.

Donald has gotten away with one of the greatest crimes against America. Despite the disastrous failures of Republicans, Merrick Garland, and SCOTUS, we must remember those who suffered on Jan 6 and continue to fight for justice—for them and our democracy.

Republicans on the House Ethics Committee now being spoken of in major media as akin to ancient Greeks confronting the Gordian Knot are in fact faced with the easiest moral dilemma any God—Greek or otherwise—has ever placed before humankind: do I engage in a conspiracy to cover up pedophilia or nah?

So the House would release the Ethics report on Gaetz if he was still a Member, but since he’s been nominated to be the chief law enforcement officer for the US with control of every federal law enforcement agency, investigation, and case, they will hide the report. Makes sense.

One of the things that angers me most about the Trump era is that none of what he or his party are doing is deemed precedent. Meaning: if any future Democratic Congress or POTUS does even 0.1% of what Trumpism has done, you’ll be able to hear media and the GOP howling from Mars.

And we all know it.

Many commentators say that vigilante groups are never the answer. But they clearly don't know about the masked Ecuadorian trio named “Acción Ortográfica Quito,” who roam the streets at night with a singular purpose: to correct all the spelling and grammar mistakes they find in graffiti.

Let me state this is bluntly as I can, as a biographer of both Donald Trump and Elon Musk: Vladimir Putin is now inside the U.S. government, with visibility into absolutely everything. He has that access through Trump, Musk, and David Sacks.

We are fully infiltrated. www.nytimes.com/2024/11/13/u...

I can’t & won’t tell anyone what to do, but I’ll gently suggest if you’re already feverishly tracking everything this incoming administration does & says & every piece of lobotomized court intrigue you’ll lose your mind right about when you need it most. Go paint some model figurines or something.

Trump refused transition funds so he could take bribes without any record of them.

He's refused to sign a mandatory ethics pledge so he can have conflicts of interest.

He's planning workarounds for those who can't get security clearances and "acting" positions for radicals who can't get confirmed.
