I'm an "A.i." abolitionist.

No consumer-facing LLMs or generative "A.i." in anything.

Sure, machine learning in science and a few other limited applications is fine.

But consumer-facing LLMs and generative "A.i." that are based on theft, push disinfo, and can be manipulated by billionaires?

No.

And doctors are still paid as the result of daily LABOR.

They're WORKERS.

They're rich. But they're not The Rich.

This is not a high hurdle to get over, but I see people fall over it every day.

If you're equating doctors with Elon Musk, you are 100% not ready to be having these conversations.
doctor who makes 200K annual is VERY comfortable. That’s not wealth hoarding though lol

It’s Facebook and Amazon paying no taxes for the last decade, its being allowed to take out loans on unrealized gains in the hundreds of millions, capital gains tax lower than the tax rate of ppl who make 55k

look, it's such a deeply problematic song, but being the proud owner of a chonky cat, it is *such* fun to sing the chorus of "fat bottomed girls" to her

also, i need to study what makes that melody so perfect

(studying what makes my cat so perfect is beyond my expertise)

“You Saved Me with Eggs and Beans” — C.E. Aaron Music Lessons
When I am hurting, I do not need someone to come along and magically remove every woe. I just want some dang black beans, cooked with love.

With a pit in my stomach, but the unrelenting need to let people with stories like mine know they're not alone, I hit publish on the most vulnerable thing I've ever written in public: ceaaron.music/blog/music-freedom-and-the-teaspoon-brigade
Music, Freedom, and the Teaspoon Brigade — C.E. Aaron Music Lessons
Something called to me about the singer-songwriter life, but it wasn't the profession itself. It was the freedom I felt within music, the permission to be myself without apology.

Google has now admitted that they will tap into users' personal data within Gmail and Drive in order for their upcoming AI search to "be more helpful".

For years, Google has advertised their services as "encrypted" and "secure", which begs the question: are they really?

Friendly reminder that dishwashers made after 1995 or so are so water and energy efficient that even if you ran them twice fully loaded it would still use less water than handwashing the same load.

So many "green" things feel like sacrifices. Dishwashers are not one of them.

it’s so clear to me that regardless of the sociopolitical environs - the current collapse of the old world, or the imminent birthing of the new one - i would be teaching music. if all my material needs were otherwise met, i’d still give my silly little piano and voice lessons.

I’m sitting on my bed, chill in the air coming in through cracked window, my cat snuggled up by my knees. The beauty of this simple moment has me tearing up. I don’t know if people under the spell of oppression-logic understand that people like me fight for a better world out of love for this world.

lord, i see what you’ve done for her; i want it for me

my apartment building just got a literal false alarm for fire

firetruck showed up and everything

0/10; did not enjoy experience of shoving pudding into her carrier only to come back inside 5-10 min later

VERY glad everyone’s fine. wish my nervous system would catch up to this fact

Am I kvetching on my website about AI again? Yes. Do I have any regrets? Nope.

AI Cannot Take My Job — C.E. Aaron Music Lessons
