ICYMI i made a scraper for ICE detention facilities, and it cross checks with Wikipedia, Wikidata and OpenStreetMap to see if the facilities have solid entries on those services. Figured this could help everyone interested in the general subject.
patches welcome + open MIT license for Forkification

This is a very important point one that is only underlined by the approach of the moderate centrists and their continuing push for a return to the brutal neoliberal status quo that birthed Trump and maga.

The neoliberals would rather stay tethered to the ground instead of shooting for the stars.
I hope one thing leftists all take away from Mamdani’s campaign though is that it doesn’t matter how chill and wholesome you are, the dinguses are going to smear and trash you in increasingly unhinged ways anyway, so you might as well shoot for the moon and campaign on what makes your heart sing

UPDATE: Tennessee Republican state Senator Ken Yager, who made national news for his hit-and-run DUI in Georgia where he pissed his pants during his sobriety test… just got let off with “supervised probation”

He is still the chair of the TN Senate GOP caucus 😕
