Enter the Dragon!
It's flowered a week ahead of time.
Dracunculus vulgaris:Dragon Arum, Dragon's tongue.
It stinks- insects like it.
Come and see, it only lasts a few days

in contrast the Rambling Rector rosebeloved of bees
both flowers stay only briefly

Really pleased with the colour of paint with the first coat on the inside of the Orangery. Changing the glass on this 1723 frontage has been a loooong time coming. But it's looking good @oliverarchitecture @ljconservation and @finnisscotttrust.. all worth it

There are so many different places to sit and ponder within the gardens. Have a coffee in the Courtyard Cafe, bring a picnic and sit in 'The Melon Ground', relax looking over the orchard or catch the sun in the wall garden. And many more!!
