Labour wanted to secure a win at GE2024 - that was then

They are treading a narrow path financially as they tackle tax loopholes & fund NHS & keep growth at 1.5%

It's unclear what they will do (& when) about BBC news / current affairs, print media AND 🇷🇺 influence petition

I'm still waiting for the FCA to investigate the massive insider trading fraud he executed with hedge funder Crispin Odey on Referendum night, engaging in market moving rhetoric. Conspiracy on a grand scale. What was Farage's reward? Odey made £200m.

What I don't understand is why Reeves didn't put a special mansion tax on £885k houses in Frinton.

The RW media has made such a tit of itself this week that rather than dialling down the hysteria have gone into overdrive.I have never known such a deranged reaction to something as moderate as this weeks budget.I would love someone to explain to me why ?It’s truly off the scale madness.

I agree but we need legislation for this, it should’ve been implemented under Levison but was watered down. Our press is out of control, something needs to be done.

also the Rachel Reeves 'lied'' story is absolutely insane. She referenced the downgrade in OBR productivity forecasts which was already on public record. She wen on to mention a number of reasons for the need to raise taxes including investing in public services and increase fiscal headroom.

They waited too long and now Farage will call any investigation into him a witch hunt/retaliation, play the victim & our entire media will agree with everything he says.

...& the UK public will bleat along in unison.

And it’s getting worse. Disgusting.
First Angela Rayner, then Jess Phillips, now Rachel.
I hope that women in this country are waking up & seeing what’s happening & turn against voting for any party that the right wing media wants & that means Reform & Tories. Starmer needs to call the media out too.

It’s been very, very clear from the start of this govt that female Labour MPs are the targets of the moment. Faces that don’t fit are being forced out.

It’s like this, the oligarchs want fascism so they can steal all of the cash via corrupt governments. Their greed is driving the media narrative.

Exactly! Look at what the budget has delivered. Even Robert Peston the tory economist at the BBC keeps whingeing about who knew what when rather than focussing on what has been delivered.
Ask the Tories about the £90bn lost to revenue per year from Brexit plus the billions lost on pandemic fraud.
