Federal workers aren’t furloughed.

Funding for social services doesn’t dry up.

Failure to pass a budget triggers an election.

It puts the politicians jobs on the line.

I wish our media would comprehensively report on trade. Many of the reciprocal tariffs they say we’ve elbowed down on were under CUSMA and needed to be dropped to continue negotiations. AND it doesn’t mean we have to choose to buy anything made in the US. It just means they can try to sell it.
