I think after this period of US politics it will be impossible to marginalize the agonistic element of all politics

So, not one but *three* churches used an AI-generated audio clip of Charlie Kirk in services this weekend.

It's part of surge of AI-generated remembrances of Kirk, as MAGA-world's embrace of the technology supercharges a new kind of public memorialization. religionnews.com/2025/09/17/c...
Charlie Kirk's AI resurrection reveals new era of digital grief
(RNS) — AI-generated versions of the conservative Christian activist are popping up online after his killing — as well as in church services.

Chiitan loves all transgender people.
I've received a lot of criticism for expressing my support, but what's more important is that all transgender people live happy lives.
Blue Sky cannot display long posts, so please read this post if you'd like.
love you all 🤍

This would be kind of cool other than the whole “doing it to ‘stop the communist propaganda’” happening, apparently, in university computer science courses, among others I assume
Christopher Monckton calls for all university teaching to be recorded and permanently archived online. "That would stop the communist propaganda dead!"

I might have gotten Google Books to make another of this man’s works available for download… we are winning! You can help!
FRIENDS, SCHOLARS, BOOK LOVERS! I am looking for scans of a rare book. This book was written in 1851, and is very much in the PD. However, it is not available anywhere online. The book is "The Philosophy of Justice Between God and Man" by Benjamin Paul Blood. Please help me if you can get this scan!

To add another ideal in here, we should finish the exercise that Karl Barth got down with, and have Reformed Christianity and Jodo Shinshu merge
personally it may be theologically unorthodox but I think Anglicanism should merge with Sikhism, taking a shared concern with social justice and the Commonwealth and adding to Anglicanism the important trifecta of beards, swords, and a hot meal at service.

CAT LORE: I have never understood the concept of private schools, at least not before the college level. It seems so obviously evil to me and I’m yet to understand arguments to the contrary

I think the really important thing about the "trans sports debate" is that it's NOT REAL, the things that people are fearmongering about are NOT REAL and are NOT HAPPENING. Cis women are not competing at a disadvantage against trans women, cis men aren't transitioning to win at sports, IT'S NOT REAL

rural≠working class. especially not in the US. If you are thinking of some kind of aesthetic, no matter how muddy, camo, redneck it is, you are thinking of the bourgeoisie. That is a bourgeois aesthetic.

I will admit, I would like to see a general norm develop in the Church against the use of generative AI to write *any* pastoral communication, including but not limited to sermons. I could be persuaded to the contrary, but right now my feeling is I'd like to see bishops prohibit it as plagiarism.

The tragedy of LLMs being crammed into every facet of public and private life is embarrassing. If we take ideas about extended cognition seriously, we clearly have the economic elites plugging their brains into the machine that melts your nervous system into soup

You know, it’s actually very rude to crawl up Trump’s ass over the whole Epstein thing. He lost a very close friend the day Jeffrey died.

My friend Richard puts very well my own thoughts in this odd moment: the Episcopal Church has been a considerable public opponent of Trump, but can we present a united front in this status confessionis?
“In considering a return to confessional Anglicanism, we will find the church’s unity and the church’s voice – a way to interpret all the things that matter to us, not just saying the same things over and over again.”

Today’s essay is by Richard Pryor.
