Too many people would be homeless before it course corrected. Some landlords are less than tolerant of any gaps. Missed meds due to copays. Empty gas tanks for cancer treatments. There are lives literally in the balance & the pro life party is hard at work.

BREAKING: Acting Social Security commissioner Leland Dudek says he is consulting with the Justice Department about shutting down the agency.

Dudek told the Washington Post: “Unless I get clarification, I’ll just start to shut it down. I don’t have much of a choice here.”
Acting Social Security head consults with Justice Dept. on whether to close agency
Leland Dudek argues that a ruling blocking Elon Musk’s cost-cutting team from access to sensitive taxpayer data could apply to all employees.

This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

musk illegally seized control of the treasury and now wants to end social security and medicare and plunge tens of millions of americans into destitution so that we won’t go “bankrupt,” a thing that practically-speaking can’t happen
Musk: "The waste and fraud in entitlement spending -- that's the big one to eliminate. That's the half trillion, maybe 600 or 700 billion a year. That's also the mechanism by which Democrats attract & retain illegal immigrants by essentially paying them to come here & then turning them into voters."

This is why Musk/Trump are moving so fast to destroy Social Security’s ability to serve customers and answer the phone. Best piece I’ve seen newrepublic.com/maz/article/...
Tuesday night, Donald Trump stood before the nation and, with the full backing of billionaires like Elon Musk, laid the groundwork for the biggest heist in American history—the rapid, systematic destruction of Social Security, disguised as “reform.”

Across Social Security right now: in addition to mass firings, elimination of Oversight Division, they are wasting taxpayer dollars by actually paying retirement eligible people FOR A WHOLE YEAR to leave now. Giving others cash incentives to leave now. Destroying Social Security so they can rob it.

Elon Musk and Donald Trump are trying to make you believe that they are cutting “waste,” but they’re actually reaching into your wallet to fund tax cuts for their “rich as hell” friends.

Spread the word.

Rep. Richard Neal: The average benefit is $24,000. That means half the people who get Social Security get less than $24,000 a year.

That's less than 400 bucks a week.

So for me, not a dime to be cut from Social Security, not a dime.
