If you use LibGuides this is a useful way to still be able to access them if they go down again (especially for my friends who were needing them for their presentations this morning!)
[Thread] those with issues with LibGuides. They went down for us recently found you can still access via the widget link thanks to colleague William Henderson can make shorter version of the link by using lgapi-eu.libapps.com/widget_c.php... add the guide ID number #LibGuides

Realising I'm a triple threat, but all of those threats are to my own safety - namely a lack of balance, no hand-eye coordination, and no sense of self-preservation

I always understood that time was short and I tried to make the most of living. But I never factored in that my time with other people would be short because they might not be here with me. It sounds so stupid but knowing that now, it's crushing me

Turns out I am just a Macaon caterpillar. My metamorphosis is yet to happen
HUNGRY EATER
A Macaon caterpillar consumes its host plant leaf by leaf. These voracious eaters increase their body mass by 1000 times before metamorphosis.

Mostly for my non library friends. One of the most used healthcare databases is run by the National Library of Medicine in the US. What information it indexes and how, effects the information clinicians in the NHS access. Very worrying that it is vulnerable to this kind of thing
Scientists globally are racing to save vital health databases taken down amid Trump chaos

As I'm running a 'social media for health libraries' half-day workshop today, I'd like to update my Health Libraries Starter Pack with anyone I've missed!

If YOU are a health library on bluesky and you're not one of the 38 on this list, let me know and I'll add you.

Been preparing for a 12pm meeting that's actually at 12.30pm so I've now psyched myself up too early. Guess a cup of tea is in order

Someone at work complimented my dress today. I responded 'pockets' and they nodded as if to say 'yes, this has elevated the dress considerably'. I was perfectly understood in the moment

I'm not sure why Pop Base needed to call him out like this, but Happy Birthday Elmo!
Today is Elmo’s birthday.

He turns 3½ years old every year, despite existing for 45.

Invited @vickiepeppard.bsky.social to watch Nell Mescal play tonight. She fairly thought autocorrect fucked up and didn't want to see a Paul Mescal play. Turns out she would have been up for the musical stylings of his sister. Will need to proof read my texts better

When I was in my early 20's I was a freakin' hipster who would spend hours seeking out obscure bands and now I am just sitting here drawing and listening to Please Please Please by Sabrina Carpenter on repeat.

There should be a British equivalent of the EGOT where you win an NTA, an Olivier, a BAFTA and a Brit Award. The UK entertainment industry would have a lot of NOBBs.

I find it interesting how much prior knowledge of a piece of media can impact my impression of it. I knew nothing about Conclave before seeing it so thought it was just a good thriller set in the Vatican. Now it's got awards hype I'm wondering if I missed something and need to rewatch it

Went to see Natasha, Pierre and the Great Concert of 1812 tonight at the Donmar Warehouse and it was utterly brilliant. Hooked from the first song. I believe it's a sold out run but if you can get a return ticket it is absolutely well worth the admission
