I do enjoy the Glastonbury highlights, but when it messes with the Gardener's World schedule, well that's unacceptable!

Never mind the Chelsea Flower Show! Check out my roses this year! Never seen so many at once!

Love this Nigella wild flower that has just appeared unexpectedly. Looks great against the orange Geum. Love how these things happen unplanned.

Just read your newsletter @jackwallington.com Having seen this Sparrowhawk recently in our garden it's good to know our garden can be regarded as truly wild 😊

When buying dormant trees online. On arrival check they're alive, doing a small scratch test to see if green. Didn't do this, it's not until now I realise the tree is dead. It's outside 30 days to get refund, can only get replacement or credit, which I don't want since they sent me a dead tree!

Made my morning seeing what I think is a Sparrowhawk in my garden! It stayed for quite a while. 😍

I know when I'm work I need to focus and keep myself together, especially in meetings. That's proved hard to today having finally received an Educational support plan for my daughter, after 18 stressful months of no proper education for her, and fighting and facing many barriers 🥲 Phew!

Living up to their name! This odd shaped kiwi is from my Oddbox delivery this week. It was delicious! Hard to believe it was originally headed for the bin!

Finally got some time to finish planting my bare root fruit trees that arrived over Chrimbo. As often the case in our garden, turned into another excavation project having discovered yet more concrete laid by previous owner! 😥

Pleased with my latest quilt creation. Inspiration sought from Pinterest. First time I've used monotone fabric as well as bright colours and love the combo. Enjoyed designing the flowers, although the smaller bits were tricky to sew!

Typical! Got a cold and now feel terrible. Then my bare root tree turns up, which requires going out in the cold, digging up weeds and soil turning over before tree can be planted. Hoping a spray of the roots for a couple days will be ok 🙏

Spent portion of Sunday writing to the council about how under section 19 of Edu act, they have to provide an alternative education to my daughter. I know they have no money, but neither do we now partner has to give up job to support our child. Hope it's not done in vain.

The look on my colleague's face when I asked if we could rustle up something like this for our Christmas book display 😆

I've been training on EndNote for a long time now, but in the middle of demonstrating, I still forget where 'Find Duplicates' is! LIke a regular brain freeze! Wish they would put it back under the references menu! Don't get me started on terms lists!

Already exhausted dealing with broken education and health systems and the local authorities. Now expected to sit through parent-led CBT and read a book on helping kids with anxiety which says very clearly in the preface that it's not suitable for neurodivergent kids 🙈 kudos to the faciliters though
