As Pride Month draws to a close, and as someone who grew up in the US South, I have one message to homophobic parents today. You can take the books out of the libraries, but your gay kids will still be gay. They’ll just hate you, and when they grow up, they’ll move far away and find new families. 🏳️🌈

I watched the first four episodes of the Netflix Avatar series with some friends and my main takeaway is that they let Zuko and Iroh have all the good writing and none of the other characters got to have anything
