The day she knew she was very old, she was suddenly filled with happiness that years ago, she had gotten that tattoo of a bluebird.
Wasn't that a big part of the point of the In Bed With The Right episode with Susan Stryker as the guest? Like the whole podcast is about conservative gender politics and TERFs have come up a bunch of times

Ladies, you do not need to get pregnant or become a tradwife. You need to unionize your workplace.

1. This is stolen land. We have no moral right to exclude anyone.
2. "Illegal immigration" is a product of 20th century racism; your forebears came "legally" because there was no such thing as "illegal immigration" then.
3. Open borders are good. Borders are racist and colonial violence.

This new episode got me thinking. The second-to-last segment around raising a child in a transphobic world reminds me a lot of conversations I've had with my partner about the ethics of having a Black child in the United States. We came to a different conclusion but it is so frightening right now.

I don't think that's the choice we're getting here. These robots are shifting traffic from streets to sidewalks without taking space from cars. It's the same issue as people riding scooters on sidewalks - they're less dangerous than cars but they're still adding danger for pedestrians.

I don't think this article is meant to hurt Mamdani, I think the article is meant to use Mamdani as a hook to push a narrative that young people are unreasonable about power in relationships. Which is exactly what it happening in the comments!

The reason the article says "Gen Z" is to tap into an existing moral panic about young people not tolerating misogyny. The goal of articles like this is to make it so when actual young women complain about actual misogyny, older people will dismiss them.

It's not about serious critique, it's about vibes. It's about trying to muddy the moral clarity and discredit a successful feminist project.

I mean. It's a right wing op. Cuomo has a bunch of credible assault allegations and Eric Adams is a creep, and Mamdani rightly pointed that out, so the right is trying to turn that energy against Mamdani. It's not about making sense, it's about stoking misogynist backlash.
