Kate Bornstein published Gender Outlaw in 1994, and one of the first chapters she talks about all of the discourse about trans people and gender happening in the early 90s.
This isn't even the first time there's been anti-trans discourse in our lifetimes!

I've heard bets being placed on the gender of some of Madonna's lovers in some of her videos. And what really made The Crying Game the smash hit that it was? It's interesting that we can ask questions about transgender issues when there's some distance between us and the person we're asking about-we just don't ask directly. There's a lot of writing about gender now. I keep reading the maga-zine articles, the newspaper columns, and the text books, pre- and post-modern. I read, watch, and listen to all the ads and commercials."

Gary Todd, the head of SOS, recently submitted testimony to the City of St. Paul, arguing against the use of 1% sales tax money to fund reconstruction of Summit Avenue. He also submitted documents indicating that, contrary to the conventional wisdom, portions of the first sections of Summit scheduled for reconstruction had in fact been rebuilt in 1978 and 1979. This begged the question: If a few portions of Summit have already been rebuilt west of Hamline, how old are the trees there? Were they devastated by the 1979 reconstruction? We were curious to find out. So, measuring tape in hand, we looked at the trees west of Hamline in areas with newer curbs, to see if they seemed substantially different or smaller than trees in other sections. The answer was “No.” In areas with newer looking curbs, we saw many basswoods, hackberry, catalpa, maples and other trees that appear to be between 50 and 100 years old.

When you are definitely fighting antisemitism and all types of hate
For years Greenblatt had warned about rising antisemitism on the left, but declaring these organizations equal to the Klan and neo-Nazis was new. Greenblatt acknowledged that “unlike their right-wing analogs, these organizations might not have armed themselves,” but he insisted they “unapologetically, regularly denigrate and dehumanize Jews.” (It is worth repeating that one of these groups is called Jewish Voice for Peace.) When Jonathan Greenblatt congratulated Donald Trump on his election win on November 6 in a post on X, he noted the ADL remained “steadfastly committed” to fighting antisemitism and “all forms of hate and extremism.” As of November 9, however, according to Internet Archive logs, prominent sections of the ADL’s website devoted to voting rights, racial justice, and other civil-rights issues — ones available online as recently as late September — had been removed. The education division’s lesson plans on transgender identity and issues were gone, too, as were webpages on the importance of DEI programs. Books on LGBTQ+ themes had been excised from the ADL’s online bibliography of recommended children’s and young-adult literature.

Text from a Chicago Reader article: Krishnamoorthi identifies as Hindu, and has expressed support for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), a right- wing paramilitary organization in India. The RSS is a Hindu nationalist organization that promotes the creation of a homogenous Hindu homeland in India, and espouses the Hindutva ideology—a right-wing ideology that casts out and discriminates against non-Hindus as “foreign.” Current Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a former member of the RSS, and joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, which draws its core political values from RSS, as an RSS organizer in 1985. Modi was elected prime minister in 2014. During his administration, India has fallen on the religious freedom, press freedom, and hunger index, and has seen a rise in violence against Muslims. Text from a Chicago Reader article: In 2005, the U.S. government revoked Modi’s diplomatic visa for failing to control anti-Muslim riots in 2002 in Gujarat, the Indian state he was head of at the time. In 2019, Modi’s government passed a Citizenship Amendment Act that was widely derided as anti-Muslim, and has passed several other laws since then that have been similarly criticized. In January, Gregory Stanton, the founder and director of Genocide Watch, called the current systemic discrimination of minorities in India as an “impending genocide.” During the 2019 Howdy Modi event—a grand reception for Modi in Houston—Krishnamoorthi delightedly shared the stage with Modi. He was the only elected Indian American politician who attended the event.

An email from Senator Tammy Duckworth's office: My oath of office demands prioritizing the needs of the U.S. Armed Forces to be prepared and ready to defend itself against all threats. The outrageous actions of the extreme Netanyahu government will never override my commitment to making sure the U.S. Armed Forces can rely on allied and partner forces equipped with interoperable platforms that enable effective joint operations and deter our adversaries from attacking U.S. servicemembers. Rather than focusing on symbolic resolutions, I am focusing on the need to secure the release of hostages and broker lasting ceasefires between Israel and Hamas, and Israel and Hezbollah. Regarding the latter goals, I fear the symbolic passage of resolutions blocking a major non-NATO ally from purchasing American manufactured weapons systems may unintentionally embolden Hamas and Hezbollah to refuse to agree to a ceasefire, continuing to make the cruel calculation that the rising number of civilian deaths is a necessary sacrifice to damage Israel’s international reputation and irrevocably harm the U.S.-Israeli alliance.

I believe in holding our allies accountable, even when it's inconvenient. For too long, the United States has let allies like Israel and Saudi Arabia commit egregious acts with American taxpayer-funded weapons. I am a proud Palestinian-American, but people of all backgrounds and ethnicities should be disturbed by our government's complicity in Israel's 58-year-long illegal occupation of the West Bank and the ongoing attacks on Gaza, which have killed tens of thousands of civilians, including infants and children. My foreign policy centers people, not the governments or groups claiming to represent them. I wholeheartedly support the immediate release of all hostages held in Gaza and a permanent ceasefire that sets the stage for peace and reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians.
