the intensity of my anger at those who would criminalize the homeless — a population literally created by the greed and callousness of the ruling class — is very hard to contain. it was you who dismantled the safety net. if you don’t like the results, put it back

Always so funny when I post about what you should and should not post and some Discover tab norm swings in with “I’ll post what I want.” No boo. Ask around. I make the rules and you will end up in the dungeon

I grew up looking at these goofy plaster dinosaurs just off the 60 freeway, but I never had a chance to see them up close. Yesterday, I took my dino-loving toddler there for a proper visit and he had the time of his life🦖

My husband and I have talked about it and the cost of childcare is like, 80% of why we are stopping at 1. It’s as much as our mortgage, and yes, we shopped around. We can’t afford for either one of us to stay home, and we are fortunate that we can cover the cost for our one child. But not another.
25 dollar minimum wage nationwide & mandatory employee-provided child care & 12 weeks vacation a year also federally mandated would do the trick, fellas. Fellas? Where’d everybody go?
One idea I have is not turning the country where the putative child would be raised into an authoritarian hellscape. www.nytimes.com/2025/04/21/u...

We are experiencing an assault on science unparalleled by anything I’ve seen in my life. It’s not one issue or another anymore, the entire institution is under attack by the most powerful individuals in the country.

This Friday, where will you be?

Been spiraling over this video recently, especially as “move fast and break things” has become our national MO.

We can’t afford to sacrifice our institutions (academia, Medicare, and others) on the altar of government “efficiency”.

so special ed programs are getting gutted because their internal documentation used the term "transition" when talking about helping disabled kids enter the working world. they're literally striking at that word wherever they see it.
