You can not have a salary cap sooooo low you can not pay veteran and young players legitimate salaries. That is Not sustainable to keep players stateside let alone make a space for veteran players to play long term. No one is trying to watch daycare figure it out without vets you need balance.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having representatives from each team who are good at schmoozing sponsors and media partners, for the purpose of securing more sponsorship and exposure. That's something NWSL needs. But framing it as "shaping the game and the culture" is absurd.

I truly do believe in Straus and taking over midway through an already turbulent season isn’t easy. That said, I’ll say the uncomfortable part out loud….

Not gonna lie, I think every captain should be saying something on Sunday. It was an attack on the league and the sport. Just because it didn't involve your team directly doesn't mean it's not worth speaking on. It can't only be a problem when it directly affects you. It's too important.

There are individual performances that were not great from the USWNT tonight, & the 2nd half decision-making in the final third has been off, but the biggest problems all start with how the team was set up.
