We need to ban ads on TfL that promote fossil fuels. I spoke to the Maor about how cities like Gothenburg already ban fossil fuel ads on public transport.

Good to see the Mayor taking this call seriously.

Shout out to @badvertising.bsky.social for the Southwark station campaign.

Powerful speeches on Trans Day of Remembrance from @sianberry.bsky.social Olivia from Trans Legal Clinic with @humanrightsvicky.bsky.social and Kate Nash. #TDoR2025

I should give a massive shout out to the work of @badvertising.bsky.social and @adfreecities.bsky.social and their awesome station “domination” at
Southwark.

Worth dropping by Southwark station (Jubilee line) to have a look and ponder why ads for fossil fuel products are still allowed?

In the lead-up to Trans Day of Remembrance, I won a cross-party commitment on the London Assembly to protecting and advancing trans rights.

It has never been more important for our institutions to stand together unequivocally with the trans community.

Dreadful news of a woman killed by a lorry being driven on Hornsey Rise. My thoughts with her family, friends and work colleagues and with first responders.

World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims yesterday. I hope any lessons can be learned from the investigation and any changes made.

Disappointed that the Met Commissioner does not see the part that a good collision investigation plays in road traffic victims getting justice after a crash.

Factory testing of the Cutty Sark Station escalators and first chunk being lowered into the shaft.
(I find this stuff ridiculously exciting 😉)

Hey 👋 anyone who likes peering at civil engineering projects as they get underway.

There's a new and helpful TFL update on the Cutty Sark Station escalators. They seem to have made decent progress in September and October.

Great “station domination” work by @badvertising.bsky.social calling on the Mayor of London to get TfL to ditch fossil fuel adverts.

Use their template letter in thread below. 👇

Is it fair that public transport fare payers see annual increases in ticket prices, while costs for people driving remain static?

According to Caroline Russell AM, TfL staff recruited under the previous immigration system are now 'left in limbo' after the Home Office unexpectedly removed their job categories from the list eligible for sponsorship. Many face losing their right to remain in the UK within weeks.

A morning learning about level access and when legally compliant gaps need a mini ramp to make them properly accessible.

Big thanks to TfL - Met the man who designed mini ramps and surveyed 128 locations they were needed.

Nathan and I found another location and ramps are on order for Kennington.

Thinking about everyone caught up in the dreadful stabbings yesterday on a train in Cambridgeshire and especially the nine people hospitalised with life threatening injuries.

Great to visit the car dealership stunt at Parliament today by @transenvuk.bsky.social and @olord.bsky.social showing clearly just how huge and heavy cars have become making the case for fair tax by vehicle weight.

London councils spend £5.5 million every day on homelessness.

While we have 90,000 children growing up in temporary accommodation.

The housing market is broken, it’s an emergency fuelled by corporate greed and government policies that put developers’ profits ahead of our basic right to a home.

Not my usual Monday night gig but it’s important to hear the views of people you don’t necessarily agree with.

Speakers from Assoc of British Drivers, London Cab Drivers’ Club and Motorcycle Action Group - safe to say we can all agree there’s too much traffic!

These are people who embarked on a five-year pathway to a skilled worker visa. They have studied and trained here for the last four years, paid their fees, and believed they had a future in London, only to be left in limbo by a system that’s turned its back on them at the last minute. [3/3]
October 20, 2025 at 5:14 PM
I've spoken to TfL workers who are terrified about sudden Skilled Worker visa changes.

In less than 3 weeks, hundreds of workers risk losing their jobs, their homes and the right to stay in the country they’ve been building their lives in. [1/3]

Another busy and rewarding week up and around London, teaming up with safer streets campaigners, TfL workers, and more.

Check out what I’ve been up to this week! 👇

TfL and Wandsworth Council need to find a fix that reduces the back street car trips that are making journeys (on foot and by bike) to school, work or the shops into a stressful dangerous experience.

They could start with a quick win: replacing the missing wands on the bike lane.
October 16, 2025 at 4:41 PM
Massive thanks to @wandsworthcycling.bsky.social for showing me the problem of traffic cutting across Upper Tooting Rd from side street to side street, barging in front of people crossing the road and bullying people riding bikes along CS7 out of the way.

My heart was in my mouth 🫣

Road death and injury should not be baked in to Waymo’s operating model.

“Despite some alarming incidents, Waymo said the data showed that cars driven by humans were involved in incidents that injured pedestrians 12 times more often than its autonomous vehicles.”
October 16, 2025 at 9:11 AM
Today I stood with @rmtunion.bsky.social members outside Parliament to oppose the Government’s cruel Skilled Visa changes.

I've spoken with TfL workers facing deportation in weeks, this is a disgrace!

Solidarity with all the workers fighting this injustice.

Getting rid of the flyover sounds great but look how much land was needed for the tunnel portal at Silvertown.

Do people really want this in the middle of Hammersmith?
