we got here in part because decades of mainstream right-wing attacks on bodily autonomy were handwaved by today’s democracy-defenders as niche concerns, not fundamental freedoms. the methods of such attacks were also attacks on democracy. where were these guys then?

very specific to DC complaint here but when trump is threatening to take over the city's historically significant public golf courses so he can privatize them and make them another getaway for the 1% i don't think going "well maybe they shouldnt be golf courses to begin with" is helpful or realistic

We could have added a wonderful progressive to the caucus with Jessica Cisneros until Nancy Pelosi felt compelled to step in. One of her least forgiveable decisions. Now, her protégé comes out and says this. Jeffries is beyond defense. Texans have long known Cuellar to be a crook.
Jeffries really killing it today.
