Not surprised that it's community colleges that are fighting back. Community colleges serve the greatest number of people facing systemic barriers. A large percentage of community college students are the first in their family to attend college.

The rediscovery of Metasequoia was like finding a living Triceratops. The world has seen so much change since the Late Cretaceous, but the dawn redwood’s still here.
It's #FossilFriday & Oregon's birthday! Did you know our state fossil is also a living tree? The genus was thought to be extinct until Chinese botanists found a living Metasequoia in 1943. The green leaf is from a descendant of that rediscovered tree, planted on the University of Oregon campus.
