Still processing the tragic news of the loss of Rob Reiner. I'm of the age when he was a huge part of my film-viewing in the 80s, and about ten years ago wrote a piece for the BFI celebrating to my mind some of his finest work. www.bfi.org.uk/lists/rob-re...

This collection of stories came out in 1978 and a probably first read them a few years later at the age of 11 or 12—there’s a reason that he’s one of the most successful authors ever and it’s because he’s very good at telling dark little tales

Good morning, Horror Fam.

We spoke on The Blob and its remake yesterday - how do we feel about Dawn of the Dead (1978) and its 2004 remake?

I'll be honest, I'm positive in both but I think the '78 is a classic. What's your favorite flavor of zombie movie?

Oh, also in recent movie news, I got some friends of mine to watch both the original of The Blob and the 80s version.

They liked them both! Still crowd pleasers to this day, even if the original has like 40 year olds pretending to be high schoolers.

Today's recommendation is very special...

The Devil's Rain (1975)!

Starring William Shatner, from Kingdom of the Spiders and uh... some small show called Star Trek, and Ernest Borgnine, this is a tale of good and evil.

Thrills and twists with this one - machete's up! 🔪🔪🔪
Still on Shudder too!
