At some point even MAGA has to ask

“Is this what we voted for?

Taking food from hungry kids, removing health insurance from millions of people and increasing the debt-all to give another tax break to billionaires?

Or did we just want him to lower the cost of eggs-which he hasn’t done?”
Jong-Fast: This would be the largest cut to food assistance in US history—and it will result in hungry kids.

It’s also important to mention that this bill grows the deficit. I don’t know how it manages to do the two things you absolutely don’t want—starve children and grow the deficit—but it does.

If you hear that the United States can’t afford health care or food security to the poorest Americans, ask why. Why can we give trillions back to the rich but not put even part of that money to work solving problems? Every benefit removed, every refusal to help, is a choice. We can do better.

Agree with this.

The US starts out w a lot going in its favor. Location, scale, resources, etc

But of the ways the US has *made* its success (as opposed to lucking into it), these 3 rank very high. All connected by university system.

A saboteur could not do more than Trump + servile GOP are doing
Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

Reminder: Trump & Musk have decimated FEMA and the national weather service.

Over the weekend, 28 people lost their lives in a tornado.

And now FEMA is admitting they are NOT prepared for hurricane season!

Thanks Harvard for getting your red pencil out.
Linda McMahon, Secretary of Education, sent Harvard a letter.

They graded it.

Bwahahaha.

Hello hurricane, tornado, wildfire prone states-
Trump & his regime rather let you destruct, drown, or burn than let go of that FEMA money he stole so that he can golf at the cost of 3 million, or more a week.
It’s all about the grift.
It was NEVER about you.

Bloodbath on Wall Street tomorrow. Thanks Republicans.
Someone is in for a surprise and I don’t think it’s me. Can’t wait until I can get a new iPhone made in the USA. Sheesh!
Buckle up for one of the nastiest Black Mondays in Wall Street history.

Thanks to President Biden, Trump inherited a strong, “envy of the world” economy. And, as we all know, Trump is very good at squandering an inheritance.
Republicans are working hard to pretend Trump inherited a bad economy.

He was handed an economy that analysts thought had no chance of recession and was expected to grow by 2.5%

We will need lots of visuals like this. They are destroying a good economy

An inept and stupid man.
Hegseth is trying to run the Pentagon like a Fox News performative talking head, looking to please his POTUS.

The Signal blunder is just his latest of many.

Saying he would read Musk into military plans on China, pulling Jackie Robinson web pages, banning trans troops, offending NATO....

About a week after cutting a $1 billion program which was remarkable win-win, paying local farmers to provide lunches for hungry school children

Trump’s USDA cut ANOTHER $500 million designated for food pantries

Sure, it’s heartlessly cruel

But Elon Musk’s next tax cut isn’t gonna pay for itself

True story.
The global economy runs on war.

It needs it.

It thrives on it.

It’s a trillion dollar business.

The military industrial complex will never allow peace to end their gravy train.

Until that fact changes, nothing will ever change.
