Seeing how much of the right-wing on Twitter is just bot farms, kinda lays bare how much hate and hatred is a project that needs to be constantly maintained, a fire that needs to be fed all the time lest it go out for a moment, so much time, effort, and resources to keep people angry and hateful.

I will remind folks those images of Nazi book burnings aren't burning just any books. They're burning the library of Magnus Hirschfeld; a gay, Jewish doctor who created an institute dedicated to LGBTQ sex education and healthcare. And a man who pioneered gender affirming care surgeries.

TIL you can judge a person by the way they hold a pen. Was very unimpressed with the dude (a tv personality) beforehand but then i watched him use too many fingers writing. The hunchover probably hid the emotional-support tongue.

I've never seen a David Lynch project and I'm squarely Gen X. Was always a firm believer in never getting to experience a first time again, and I hamstring myself waiting for the "right time".

The slow trickle of MAGA folks over here underscores how much their experience of online is entirely dependent on people getting mad at them. It also underscores how even they, given the option, would rather not hang out with themselves either.
