It’s been at least two decades since I set foot in a laundromat, and I’m finding it strangely peaceful. But also taking the opportunity to be grateful that I can usually wash my clothes in my own home.

The original yellow Sony sport Walkman had a gasket between the body and the cover. The sequence of clicking open the side latch, tugging gently to release the seal, flipping the cassette, latching it shit, then pressing the rubber Play button is deep in my haptic memory.

It’s the last day of classes and it’s snowing a bit so it is very quiet on campus. Which allowed me to hear this fellow’s quiet little winter song, and thereby to spot him in all his handsome enfloofenation.
