I regret most deeply to report that regular workouts at 6:00 am has done wonders for mental health, joint pain, cognitive function, and generalized coping skills. 🏋🏼

Offering thanks to Past Catherine, who scheduled "Catch-up Week: No New Material" for mid-November.

I didn't know it was possible to love Emma Thompson any harder than I already did.

Some Englishes have it with a handful of other participles, e.g., “I’m done my homework”, “I’m sat in the front row”. And of course there’s the Christian “he is risen”!

Oof, yeah, links take time! So maddening.

May I suggest the solution of pasting into a plain-text editor to remove formatting? I do this approximately one zillion times a day when switching between MS and other apps.

I firmly believe this is how all grad programs should be.

I'd guess that your goals are different too. Perhaps the conventional indicators (A+?) of being a "good student" are less important to you than, say, the things you're learning?

Gave myself a seasonal manicure. #TinyJoys

Ooh, an ambiguity I had not noticed!

There is a famous soccer player named Abby Wambach whose fan base intersects with that of Hannah Gadsby, who is the presenter of this show by Abby Wambaugh.

I think one difference is in whether the message is going to a generic support e-mail or a personal one, no? When I know my message is going to be seen by one unspecified member of a team, I often open with something like, "Hi LMS friends". But never if I'm emailing a specific person!

Universal👏Free 👏Vaccines 👏
There are still a lot of unknowns, but we feel strongly that universal & free COVID-19 and influenza vaccines would be a good investment in health, health systems, and attendance at work and school. Thank you to the brilliantly detail oriented @jabreznik.bsky.social and Dr Matt Miller... 12/n

I think international students are usually on F-1 visas or maybe J-1.

I offer this in case it's helpful: I only read the student comments at the time of preparing the next offering of the course. That helps me treat them as data informing the course design rather than a judgment of me as a human.
(But sometimes I don't read them at all!)

Hooray! I’m going to hear her tomorrow in #HamOnt !!!

This might have been the part when I screamed the loudest.

I’m still hoarse this morning from the scream-singing. What a show!!! Worth traveling from #HamOnt
