I regret most deeply to report that regular workouts at 6:00 am has done wonders for mental health, joint pain, cognitive function, and generalized coping skills. 🏋🏼

Some Englishes have it with a handful of other participles, e.g., “I’m done my homework”, “I’m sat in the front row”. And of course there’s the Christian “he is risen”!

May I suggest the solution of pasting into a plain-text editor to remove formatting? I do this approximately one zillion times a day when switching between MS and other apps.

There is a famous soccer player named Abby Wambach whose fan base intersects with that of Hannah Gadsby, who is the presenter of this show by Abby Wambaugh.

I think one difference is in whether the message is going to a generic support e-mail or a personal one, no? When I know my message is going to be seen by one unspecified member of a team, I often open with something like, "Hi LMS friends". But never if I'm emailing a specific person!

I offer this in case it's helpful: I only read the student comments at the time of preparing the next offering of the course. That helps me treat them as data informing the course design rather than a judgment of me as a human.
(But sometimes I don't read them at all!)
