Book update!
I'm going to broaden my search for interviees to include actors with ADHD, both because a lot of the neurology is the same, and because a lot of people (especially women) who identify as ADHD are in fact AuDHD and either don't know it or are reluctant to identify as autistic.

Thinking about that time I ran Music From a Darkened Room for Delta Green and the Agents asked their Handler for [the thing that can solve the problem] and then I thought what if I said "yes, and..." and had a bewildered US Marshall show up with [the thing] and that made it 100 times harder on them.

For me, acting has always just been masking where someone gave me a really precise, detailed script, I got to rehearse it a lot, and then people would applaud when I did it. No wonder I've tried to make a career of it.

I once taught a Fellow Adult how to treat a blister and they reacted like I was sharing the Secret of Fire and now I tell people about moleskin at every opportunity including the ones that have nothing to do with moleskin because dopamine is a hell of a drug.

It's at times like this that I'm really grateful for my "don't get a tattoo of someone else's IP" rule. There's a place where I've been tempted to put a displacer beast for a long time that I could be VERY grateful for soon.
every time I think "well probably this one single, solitary tiny thing that brings me a modicum of joy in between the desperation and despair in my life won't get ruined" I pick up my phone and something like this happens
